Recording the License
Here I will address the most frequently asked questions along with a simple guide to acquiring your marriage certificate, recording, obtaining certified copies and name change.
Public Marriage License- Fee $91
A public marriage license is a public record, and anyone can request a copy or information from the record. This license can be used anywhere in the State of California.
Confidential Marriage License- Fee $85

Requesting certified copy/ies of your marriage license:
Fee is $15/ea certified copy. I usually encourage my couples to purchase 2 for their records and name changes.
